I see on the forum that many people say they were surprised of the excess amount of these questions on the exam. Does this mean this should be the main focus of studying for Behavioral Sciences? What is a good source for practice Q's or explanations?

For Behavioral Sciences, I'd reccomend either BRS or High Yield. They are actually both written by the same author, who, according to one of my dean's, also writes the behavioral science questions for the USMLE. BRS has the advantage of having questions and answers at the end of every chapter, I purchased high yield but borrowed BRS from someone for the end of chapter questions. Q bank has a few behavioral science questions. When I used q bank 2 yrs ago though, I didn't feel that it had as many q bank behavioral science questions as I saw on my step I, but that may have changed since then.

Is BRS better than High Yield? I have Kaplan but it doesnt seem like enough, its very brief. You're also right about Qbank, there are very few of these q's.

Given a choice between the two, I would purchase BRS. I prefer the BRS format over the high yield format though, plus there are htose questions at the ends of chapters that you can practice on. I know some students who preferred the high yield format though, and I do think that it might be worthwhile just to borrow the high yield book from one of your classmates one day and read through it (it's a quick, one day read). I think that it's good that you are asking questions about it, a lot of people mistakeningly think that behavioral science is intuitive but a lot of it can be counter-intuitive for some people. Definitely worth going over once or twice IMO.

In regards to Fadem, the author of High Yield and BRS, she is also on the list of authors on the BSS cd, so if these q's arent too outdated, they should also be a good source of q's.
