I have his book, DAT destroyer. It's a good book, i think.
But why do ppl keep saying his name?
I see so many posts that say "Thank you Dr. Romano".
and then ppl say " stop advertising his products!!"

I hear his name so many times I just think of Dr. Romano even before I can think of his book.

People say Kaplan Blue book is good, but does anyone know who wrote Kaplan blue book? I bet no one is interested in it 😀

I heard that there is Dr.Romano class in New york.
Is it supposed to be like a Kaplan Course?

Yes, there is a class in NY that Dr. Romano teaches...and it's like taking a more heavy duty Kaplan course.

Dr. Romano wrote the Destroyer stuff, or at least edited it. People keep saying his name and thanking him for two possible reasons. Either he really is some kind of god-send to predents taking the DAT, or he is paying or getting people to come onto SDn and say wonderful things about his product to sell more product. I don't know which possibility is true, maybe both. You probably will notice that those people who tend to thank him and blabber on about his product tend to only post once or twice on SDN and then disappear forever...so that seems suspicious.

Kaplan's Blue Book was compiled, probably not written by one single person...not that it really matters.

Dr. Romano has 10 different screennames on SDN, each of whom purportedly scored upper 20's in all sections!

Everybody on here who says, "thanks, dr. romano" is basically free promo for the man, himself. ....Thank you dr. whoever.

WRONG! The people posting these scores are real people, some of which attend his classes in New York. The reason people are thanking him personally are those who have taken his classes. In his classes they use the destroyer material. djeffreyt the destroyer book was written by Dr. Romano not just edited. It cracks me up that the majority of post across the board that post scores do so and post very few things again in the future. I find it even more hilarious that some how the destroyer gets singled out. I encourage each and everyone of you to call up Dr. Romano and speak to him yourself before passing judgment.

You're absolutely right. I took his class a while back, and he's the only reason I got my 27AA. I feel like I owe everything to DAT destroyer!

My friends at Cornell and Columbia also took his class. One scored a 26AA, and the other a 29AA!!! holy bagesus!

All the people you see thanking him are my collegues, i.e. his students, who have scored in the high twenties because of his dedication and devotion to us. He's just one of those teachers you cant understand or appreciate until you've sat through one of his classes. I use all his material, his books and I call him at all hours of the night for assistance and encouragement. He's really an all-star teacher, writer, and friend. And this is to you Doc, I thank you, Nancy, Kerry, Larry and all the boys/girls at Ramano scientific for all that you've done for me. No matter what I get on the DAT next week I owe it to you. I'll probably stop by sometime before and after my DAT, see you guys then....

your gpa is almost 4.0 and you need a prep course for the dat? you don't need a tutor. it doesn't matter if you get 26AA or 22AA. a 22 will get you in anywhere with your gpa.

I know but I'm looking for a scholarship....plus no matter how smart you are or how good your grades are, there are alot of intracacies on the DAT that a prep course prepares you for that you would not be able to catch on your own.

Well, since I can't make it to his classes I will have to just take your word for it and pass on dat destroyer. I tried to purchase a used copy, but it was already spoken for. At the price he charges with no real credibility except for his "real" students coming on and joining for a few days and talking about how he helped them get a 29 in ochem is a little.... strange?

I'm sure it helps, but it is not going to be the single reason any of these kids pass with flying colors.

This is the only time i have really gotten upset with a product and it is only because it is over-advertised shamelessly on sdn. I am studying for the dat right now, and if the material were a little cheaper, it might be tempting, but so far I've gotten quite a few books and stayed under $200. Then if I want all of Dr. Romano's material it's another $250 for the big package.
