So - is it worth explaining what might not look that great on your application? Or is it better not to draw any attention to the negative aspects of my app?

I took many of my pre-reqs at community colleges and my DAT scores are on the lower end (AA:18 TS: 17). Should I give excuses/reasons for my school choices and for my scores?
