Ok, the last three nights I have been having vet school acceptance/denial dreams. I hope this doesn't continue the next three months! This is stressful enough during the day, let alone at night!

But I bet I am not alone...

I am just in agony over the fact that the two schools I thought I had a good chance of getting into put out first round interview notifications last week and I didn't get one. 🙁 🙁 It occasionally sneaks into my dreams (nightmares, really).

Kinda random but last week I had a dream where I was speaking in French.

I haven't spoken French in...oh, 3 years? haha!!

yes! for a few weeks after finishing supplementals, I had lots of vet school acceptance, interview invite & rejection dreams! 😱
And... the other night, I had a pathology dream (?!?!?). human forensic pathology!!! I think my dreams have just been more vivid in general since I hit the submit button. lol

I've been dreaming for this opportunity since I was a child ...just look at my screen name...Hopefully our dreams all come true in 09 when acceptance letters roll around.

I had a dream that they rejected me b/c i didn't take calculus which I totally did. Then they rejected me because Toronto is not a big city, and the vets here mainly look at cats and dogs, and in my dream the school that rejected me is big on large animals...

Sigh...I hate these dreams 🙁

That's actually pretty damn creepy.

I actually haven't had any of those dreams ever since I submitted everything. While I was doing applications, however, I would wake up in a sweat thinking, "Oh my God! I forgot to submit my transcripts to Oregon! I forgot to fill out Illinois's supplemental!" I'd jump out of bed and start gettting dressed in a hurry until I realized, "Wait a minute! I didn't even apply to those schools!"

Maybe a consequence of too much SDN. I know about requirements for schools I'm not even applying to.

I'm not sure I'd mind if it could actually point out structures on its own body for me...

Maybe I can convince my dog cadaver to do that. Stupid pelvic limb nerves.

I don't recall any application-related dreams or vet-school-related dreams, but when things got really busy at my clinic I would be doing treatments in my sleep and hearing the beeps from imaginary IVACs and EKGs 😳

Thought I'd bump this thread, because the acceptance/denial dreams are starting in earnest for me over the past few nights. I interviewed at Tufts last year but wasn't accepted, largely (it seems) because I'd been out of school for a while; an Admissions Counselor there recommended that I go back to school and take some extra courses to prep myself for such a rigorous curriculum.

So now I keep having dreams in which I'm sitting there, rejected again this year, because I was supposed to take x number of credits--which I had no idea about--and fell short by just a few credits!

Anyone else having crazy dreams of their own lately & want to share?

I am absolutely terrified about my interview at Ohio tomorrow. I had a dream the night before last that I nailed it and they accepted me before I left. But then I had a dream last night that everything went wrong and I completely bombed it. 🙁

Not really a vet school admissions dream, but 2 nights ago, I had a dream that I was working as a veterinary technician at a clinic where all the patients were *spiders*!!! 😱

jjohnston, relax about your interview!! I promise it's not bad at all. I get extremely nervous (and was) but at the end of the day I realized that I had fun. The interview is more like a conversation than anything. You'll do great!!!

I don't think I've had too many dreams lately that I can remember other than the usual 'forgot to do something and now i'm rejected' ones.

Ever since I've started interviewing I've been having crazy dreams that are not specifically about vet school. They are all dreams where I am frantically trying to do something and I am running out of time. In one dream I was at my sister's wedding (which happened 6 years ago!) and I couldn't find my bridesmaid dress. I spent the whole dream in a panic trying to find a replacement and I never found one.

On a funny note, one of the doctor's I used to work for had a dream while she was pregnant that when she had the baby it was a lab puppy.

Ah! I'm glad its not just me. I've been having trouble sleeping because I keep thinking about things I need to get done for apps. When I do fall asleep, I dream i'm treating dogs,cats,horses and even scorpions(??)..they're very freakish cartoon type dreams...weird

I just wish I could dream!! I lay in bed running interview questions round and round in my head. Before I know it, two hours have passed and it's almost time for me to wake up and start the process over again!

I remember those!...

They turned into nightmares of getting called and told they are taking back my acceptance until vet school started....

Then they turned into dreaming about failing...

I guess I had issues😀
