I waited about a week from then for it to go to "Your file is currently under review by the admissions committee. No decision has yet been made regarding your admission status to Drexel of University." Hoping that they look at it and make a decision at today's adcom meeting, which would probably mean 7-10 days for a letter to make it here.

I think I started getting that message about one week after my interview, which was on March 20. I believe it just went today to "under review by the committee," but I'm not 100% sure, maybe I jut haven't been noticing the change. Reggit and Gyrogun both posted nice time-lines above. Good luck!
 
I also ended up interviewing with someone other than the person I was supposed to, who seemed to be really busy, and it would not surprise me in the least that she put my file to the side and forgot to write an evaluation of it, which is part of the reason I've been waiting since mid-January

Me too! Let's hope they're all in good, generous spring moods and want to sign a bunch of accepts quick without thinking too hard so they can go grab some water ice from Rita's and take off rowing on the Schukyll.
 
Interviewed in January but my file hasn't even got changed into under review still the same old please wait 6-8 weeks for the final decision, and it's May now!!! I would be so mad if I got rejected after waiting so long.....

So I interviewed at the end of February and my status still says that my file is currently under reivew... anyone else? Wouldn't they have to make a decision by now considering they send everything via mail and it will take a while to get out to us?

i interviewed at the beginning of feb and my online status still says 'your interview has been scheduled, wait 6-8 weeks'....i emailed and they said i would get a decision in the next few weeks..pretty ridiculous in my opinion. good luck though! hopefully our long wait and patience will pay off:luck:

they told me over the phone yesterday by accident that i'm waitlisted. 🙁

for those who are asking, they are still accepting ppl.. my roommate is also an ims student, and only had his interview last week, w a bunch of other non-ims applicants. ducom held their last interviews last week, so if ppl are still waiting to get an interview, it probably wont happen 🙁. it's probably gonna be at least a few weeks before the committee gives my roommate his decision, so i wouldn't expect the waitlist to move until then at least..

I know that Drexel is still interviewing right up until May 15th.

Was Peoria the one with the free housing? Because that would make the cost just about equal between the 2 schools. I think the 2 programs are very different. But Congrats on your UIC acceptance (I'm still waiting on them post-interview....i interviewed at the Chicago campus).
 
jult24er, blueblazer, you guys hear anything yet? Have either of you called to find out if they have been mailed or fax-able yet? My nervousness factor has increased tenfold.
 
I'm not expecting anything until mid next week, so if it comes before, nice surprise. Don't have a fax machine so I would have to get it sent to work or my parents and I don't want anyone to know before I do, so I'm just sticking it out.

I have other acceptances, but am definitely nervous as hell because this is where I want to go. I was a huge fan of the big classes, the laid-back atmosphere, comfortable facilities, and awesome technology that Drexel brought to the table.

There's something that's telling me that there's more waiting in my future though...

I'm still with the commitee. Just wish I was up there with you guys. I'll throw a penny in a DC fountain for you getting an acceptance.
 
OP here. Wow, so this thread has grown ... considerably ... since I made it. Never knew so many people were interested in Drexel!

Just wanted to let you all know that I have withdrawn my Drexel acceptance. I imagine there will be many others doing so starting this week, as May 15 approaches. Hopefully the waitlist will begin to move for you guys.

i'm pretty sure this isn't true.. my roommate interviewed on 4/8 and they told his group that that was the last week they were interviewing. unless maybe they're giving more out, just to send them to the waitlist..

Yes, Drexel is conducting interviews at the moment, although I am not sure what the end date is for them. These interviews, however, are not for applicants into the MD program. I *think* they are for individuals from the various post-bacc programs at Drexel.

right, sorry i was just talking about the MD applicants, i'm a postbacc student at drexel right now 🙂
 
I interviewed the last week of February and my status page still reads "under consideration by the Committee. No decision has been reached." How has everyone else done from the last week of February? Drexel is my first choice - I really love the school, the students, the educational philosophy and all but I need to make a decision.

Just checking to see how everyone else from the last week in February has done. Thanks. 😕 😕 😕
 
I just received an acceptance letter this afternoon post marked May 16 .. Good luck to everyone out there still waiting. This shows theres still hope for you guys.

it must have been outright. i called the admissions office today and they said the waitlist hasn't started moving yet, and won't for at least a couple more weeks.
 
yes it was an outright acceptance... It took quite a while to hear anything back from the adcom. I interviewed on January 30 and didn't have a status change until this month. It first changed to "under review" and then to "a final decision" about a week and a half later. Once a decision was made the letter must have been mailed out the same day because it arrived at miami florida about three days later.. Good luck to everyone !!!!!!
 
Interviewed 3/12, accepted 4/25, withdrew 5/13. Drexel was my first acceptance, but apparently it wasn't my last. Good luck to everyone on the waitlist!

i asked them to fax my decision to me but they said that it had to be done only through mail... urrggg😱

Ouch, people who have posted on the wait sai dit took 14 days to go from decision made to their letter being sent out. Hard to understand why, I hope our wait is less ...
 
I must sound very repetitive but I am wondering if anyone else is in my position. I interviewed in late February and went fairly quickly from "review by a committee member" to "under review by the committee; no decision has yet been made." It seems by now there should be some decision made on my application; a rejection, waitlist, or even maybe an acceptance. I just want to know. Everything is in a state on indecision until I hear.

Anyone else in a comparable situation with Drexel? What shall I do?😕😕😕😕😕😕😕😕😕
 
The admissions Office told me letters from last week's decisions have not gone out yet, but should go out by the end of the week. I guess that means we might get them Monday or Tuesday ...

Sorry, that sucks. That does seem like a long time to be under review by the committe. I interviewed 3/20 and was UR by C for about two or three weeks, I think. I would call the admissions office for a status check.

Hey my status changed today also. Definitely not a good sign in my opinion but I guess who knows. Wierd considering I was told they always change it on Friday's. Wondering if maybe they filled the class and the wait list and the rest of us are rejected. When did you interview sunhorse?

mine also changed on a thursday (last thursday) and the admissions office told me i ahd been reviewed in a wednesday night meeting (though they did also tell me before that the committee usually meets on fridays.) anyway, i doubt it means that everyone is getting rejected ...
