Drexel and NYMedical College Secondaries

for those of you who applied to either of these schools, would you mind telling me what their secondary apps are like?
a lot of essay questions? if so, what are they?
i'm thinking of applying to these two schools last minute...

Drexel is pretty easy. You have to list activities and stuff again, but no required essays. There may be an optional one (can't remember right now), but if there was, I didn't do it.

Don't know about NYMC because I didn't apply. I do know that one of my friends just got an interview there.......

NYMC is very fast and easy- you basically just send them $$.

Sorry I've been complaining about the typewriter situation in a few threads now, don't be mad at me, it's just frustrating and a good heads up. Here's the thing about Drexel. Easy to do, just activities, position dates and whatnot stuff, but two things:

1) Apparently you have to either type the secondary on a typewriter or handwrite, I have sloppy handwriting so I opted for the typewriter (the secondary is like in a special format), but typewriters are hard to find on campus these days. Locate one now that you can use. Other than that it's fine - straightforward.
2) They don't accept personal checks, only cashiers checks, or money orders I believe ($75). I'd get this done ahead of time too.

So no worries, just a few of those little hoops that we're so used to jumping through.

To add onto to what everyone said above, the NYMC asks if you have any relatives associated with university, if you have a premed committee letter or not, and asks you to pay your $100 before sending. Pretty much as harmless as they come.

Is the Drexel 2ndary in PDF format? If so, can't we fill it out if we have the adobe writer.

Nope, sadly they send it to you on paper only...

Yeah, it's the only paper app I got. But I have a scanner and the full version of Adobe Acrobat, so I just scanned, edited, and printed it out on heavy-stock paper. I doube the adcom will care that it's not on the original application paper.

That's why it's my safety school. 😉

No really, I don't actually think it sucks, just that it's a teeny little bit less competitive than most of my other schools.
