I have an interview in April. It is so late, I was wondering if this would be an interview for a waitlist spot or not. If anyone knows shout out please.

I'm guessing that it is. I have a late April interview but probably won't go. I have an acceptance to a chicago school so a waitlist spot in philly just doesn't seem worth it.

If you interview in April, you might not hear back from them until after May 15. By then, there might be a lot of waitlist movement and you might get a straight-out acceptance offer.

Don't worry about the waitlist spot. If you're not set on a particular school, it's worth it to check out all your options. I have an April interview at Drexel, and I'm pretty sure I'll go unless my 1st choice school comes through before then.

I have an interview April 29th at Drexel, it defenitely is for the waitlist but I hear that Drexel has a lot of movement.

In Feb, I was invited to interview at Drexel in MAY!! When I asked if I was going to be interviewing for a waitlist, the lady on the phone said something cryptic like the adcom looks for different things in different people and that I would definitely be interviewing for a spot in the class. I've since withdrawn my application. It's very possible that she was just completely bull****ting me, but I think it's weird somebody would say that. Anyway, just thought I'd share.

Hey everyone. I'm an MS1 at Drexel. Last year, I received my interview request in Jan/Feb and had my interview April 30. Drexel does NOT do waitlist interviews. We do regular interviews through the first week of May. You could have interviewed in October and been put on a waitlist. If you are a sharp interviewee and candidate, the timing of when you interview doesn't matter. You'll still get accepted. I realize it is weird because I had interviews at other schools at the same time (late April) that were for WL status--but not at Drexel. For what it's worth, I was going to cancel my interview because I was already accepted elsewhere. I decided to go anyway and I'm glad I did. It ended up being my favorite of all the schools I saw and I even moved out of my hometown (for 4 years) to come here. For any school with a late interview, ask them point blank--is this for regular admission or waitlist. I asked Drexel that last year and they were upfront with me--and accurate. I was in less than a month later.
