Hey
I understand Drexel PMED program has good record of students finishing getting into medical school. I know HES offers a sponsorship, U Penn offer certificate... does Drexel have these for the PMED?

Also, I know medical schools like Columbia and Harvard... etc. the top notch ones you need a superb undergrad GPA (probably from an IVY undergrad) and a good postbac GPA. Is it same for Drexel?

like what kind of medical schools would be in my reach if I graduated from SUNY Binghamton with a 3.0 undergrad GPA and If i were to bust my butt to work and maintain a Postbac (career change) GPA of 4.0? 3.5? with good volunteer work? Like if I can take the best advantage of the post bac program, what kind of medical school am I looking at?

From a Drexel PMED program, could someone like me be admitted to Drexel Med? I know my situation is I have NO SHOT of getting into the top notch Med school like Columbia or Harvard... etc. but Drexel Med from Drexel PMED a feasibility?

thanks guys

Drexel's PMED has a linkage with Robert Wood Johnson and Drexel Med, so if you do well enough in the post-bac, you stand a more than feasable shot, if not great shot, and going to either one of them.

I am starting the PMED in the fall as well. I had a 3.0 from Penn ugrad, and i'm hoping to do better in the post-bac, and I would be more than happy with a linkage admission to Drexel Med. With my 3.0, even Ivy, no matter how good i do in the post-bac, I also have no shot at top school.

See you in august I guess?

hey. i noticed that you were an economics major. So was i... also philosophy. but anyways, I do not know yet which I will attend. I haven't gotten into Drexel yet. just applied recently... a week or 2 ago?

hopefully I get in to have options. Thanks.

Did you have healthcare experience?

i had no healthcare experience basically, although i did work at a public policy institute for substance abuse policy, so I played that off as mainly healthcare field.

Hey Audman, I'm currently in a similar situation as you were at the time of this post. I'm considering Drexel PMED and also had a 3.0 undergrad GPA with a lot of volunteer experience, but not so much in the way of clinical. Did you end up attending Drexel PMED? Do you mind me asking how you fared applying to med school after the post bacc work? Thanks.
