I just got my post-interview rejection letter from Drexel.

It was fairly quick, because I interviewed there only a couple weeks ago, and the letter was postmarked on 10/15. So they reached the final decision for my application only a week after the interview.

is Drexel usually this fast?

well, the interview didn't go as well as I thought, and I made some critical mistakes (telling them that I have other "higher-tier" school interviews coming up when I was asked)...and not being able to convince them that I really want to come to the school...anyways I am kind of worried if there are some serious flaws in my interviewing skills that "helped" them to reject me so early in the season.

mmm😕

Well, the "higher-tier" answer was probably enough, if you ask me. From everything I have heard about this process, none of the schools want to be your second choice, so it is probably fatal to give them that impression in any way. If they think you are going to attend, they don't want to waste time and resources on you.

are you east or west coast? just curious cuz i interviewed a couple weeks ago as well.

I also got rejected from Drexel today. 🙁

I don't know why...I think it's just hit or miss with the faculty interview. My student interview went very well, but the general consensus from current students was that my faculty interviewer is mean.

I guess it's not in the cards.

At least Drexel gave you the time of day! I'm a PA resident and would love to do the Philly interview tour, but Temple and Drexel have been silent as a mouse since I've been complete there. I'd really love to get interviews at both schools.

You and me both. I am getting love from New England, but none at all from the ANY PA or NJ schools where I actually have strong ties. What is up with that?

Who was your interviewer? I really liked my interviewer, (Prof. Romano), he was quite laid back and helped me get to Suburban Station!

When did you interview and with whom? I had Dr. Nunez, she was really nice and had some good things to say after I sent her a thank you email, but I'm still a little unsure. My status page is all weird and I'm starting to get paranoid

Well I had my faculty interview with Dr. England. I think that went pretty well.

I know I totally bombed the student interview because my interviewer didn't show up in time, and I had only 15 minutes to tell my interviewer everything about myself. He was kind of tough, he started with "tell me about yourself" then moved on to what do you see yourself in 10 years, what would your mom tell me about you if I call her...

well it wasn't conversational at all, and I started panic because I didn't expect my student interview would be like this. I guess I gave him the impression that I was unimpressed with the school as well...

the rejection itself doesn't hurt that much (Personally I wasn't impressed with the school...)..but I am just worried if there are some flaws in my interviewing skills. I had 3 other interviews and I pretty much did my interviews in the same way as drexel (maybe with more enthusiasm).
