Hi! I would like everyone's advice about which med school to choose. Currently, the tuition for both schools are relatively similar.

Drexel:
Pros:

• Close to home
• Cheaper COL
• Location is great: diverse patient population

Cons:

• Research opportunities - many students prefer to go to Penn for research
• Ranking: it’s lower than Georgetown
• Clinical rotations are far away
• No directly affiliated clinical sites

Georgetown:
Pros:

• Close to long-term partner
• More research opportunities
• Has a home hospital
• Great match list
• Love DC

Cons:

• COL is INSANE.
• Older facilities
• Internal rankings

go to georgetown: your gonna be able to stay with partner and have a better availability of options for specialities. You also seem more excited about it too. The COL is a factor but it is nothing that cannot be reccuperated within a year or two post residency if you put your mind to it. On the other hand, the ability to attend a school with greater research opps + better match list doesn't come around often.
