For those of you who have received the Drexel Secondary, when did you receive it? I still haven't gotten anything in the mail from them.

Thanks for the response, Paws. It seems like some people have gotten it b/c it's on the list of "schools sending out secondaries" on this forum. but drexel sends it out via snail mail, so maybe it takes a slower time??

No one has gotten it. Someone put it one the list because they talked to Drexel who said they WOULD be sending it out via US mail, but I know they haven't yet.

Drexel seems to be slow.. they were slow last year (but someone said it was because they were changing their stationary? for the new name). Anyways, if you haven't gotten the Drexel secondary, apparently, it's their fault and probably not indicative of anything in your application. Anyways, their secondary is really short, from what I remember, nothing that thought-provoking. THere was a question on what other career you would consider besides that of a physician but you just had to write down what it was and not explain it or anything. They didin't even ask me about it when i interviewed last year. Oh, and I didn't get the secondary until november last year so..... yeah.. don't worry too much!

I got mine today via snail mail and AMCAS hasn't even verified my application yet. I think that means they only sent out my name and address.

Do any stats get sent with the first AMCAS info before they send all your stuff. I also got a 2ndary from UIC which I thought screened, so they must get more than my name and address😕

I didn't get it yet, but if its just a form or two without essays I'm going to handwrite it. So long as you are neat, I don't think it should matter.

Most doctors write sloppy. I guess this is a test of penmanship eh? 🙄

Drexel is one of those schools that sends out 2ndaries to ALL applicants, right? I'm kind of cautious about these schools...

Uh oh, I too sent them my secondary with a personal check. I guess I should just call them and find out what to do. I feel so silly for over-looking that! I just remember checking a box that indicated I had enclosed a fee for $75, I don't remember it specifically saying NOT to send a personal check. Argh

Okay, so I called Drexel, and it seems like a lot of folks made that mistake. They just said don't worry about sending in a personal check, and that there will only be a problem if it bounces. 🙂 Who knows, maybe you folks who actually followed directions will be put in a privledged 'rule-following' pile.

I got mine yesterday and I'm going to type it up. I actually found a typewriter in the trash a week ago, as I was walking home one night - can you believe that ?? and it's an electric with a self-correcting ribbon and decent font.

I didn't notice about the check tho ...

I love Drexel. They have one of the easiest secondary! I just got it 40 minutes ago and i am now ready to send it !!! (well, need to buy money order first.. ^^)

I tried typing mine but the font on my typewritter is too big and I don' t have any smaller fonts. :-( I think I have like 12 pt and you'll need 8pt.

Yes, I had the same problem. For name of school and location, it looks terrible cause it's so scrunched together. I hope they realize there was nothing I could do.🙁
