In case you already didn't know, drexel was extremely disorganized last year and often times you would find out that you had an interview via the website status check prior to them emailing you (or emailing you at all) Also, I know in my case I interviewed in February and they didn't make a decision to waitlist me until after the deadline to decide on a medical school. Oh and that "View your decision here" link....yeah it never shows up as anything. Not even after they make a decision

So if the "view decision" doesnt change- how do you know when you get an interview? Does it say it some where else? Thanks!

A new link shows up on your "application menu" page as soon as you sign in with your banner ID and pin.

Did you ever mail them, and did it work. I'm tempted to do the same as I'm really not sure they plan on bothering to download the letters. I'm not blaming interfolio for this one either, sending them to PSU worked just fine.

Actually I did mail them, and they finally "received" them this past friday, but I'm not sure if it was the electronic or snail mail letters that they received.
Oh and it's definitely not Interfolio, it was drexel not "downloading" the letters.
 
I'll give them until the end of the day tomorrow then, and then mail time. Thanks.

I have the same problem with my MCAT scores too. The status page shows that they have received the MCAT that I took in August 2005 but not the one that I just took recently. Did they ever changed your MCAT score date? I'm wondering if I should give them a call to let them know of my new MCAT score?
 
i guess i will mail my letters too now becasue they wont download them ahhhhhhhhhh so frustrating
 
Just so you guys know, I checked the status page and I had a "sign up for interview" link on it. However, I wasn't notified of the interview offer until I called to see what was up...

they said they do have my new scores and not to worry about it. they STILL have not acknowledged receiving my LORs from interfolio sent on JULY 31!!! when i called on thursday they said to wait a few more days.
 
great, i just checked my status page and i got put on pre-interview hold. and to think i thought i had a pretty decent shot at drexel...
 
Where is this? When I went to the drexel status page, there another login to check your status. Then I click on my application for this year "Fall Semester 08-09" - and it just says "To View Decision Click here"... click on that and it just says "No decision is currently available"..

is this right?

it's right if you have no decision currently available
 
so i contacted the admissions director about the hold and i was told that they aren't looking at the hold applications until MAY...so does that mean we don't even have a shot at interviewing for a place in the class but the waitlist?
 
So I was really frustrated that i sent everything in 8/7 but the letters 8/10 and still wasn't complete at Drexel or Jefferson (i live in philly, these would be nice and easy to get to for interviews)...I called again today, and well, it must be my lucky day, because I got very helpful people at both schools. Instead of telling me "it's still early in the season" like they did last time, both schools actually looked me up, found my letters, put them together, and officially changed my status. So I am finally complete, and can now sit around for another few months waiting for an interview/hold/rejection. I know that this isn't a big victory, but it feels like one to me.

What did you say when you called up Drexel? Every time I call they say the same thing about "just now eradicating the problem and we will get to it" so I was just curious. Thanks. 🙂

Yeah that's what i usually get too, but today a woman answered the phone and i said i was just wondering if Drexel was still having trouble getting letters off of virtualevals, and she said "we're doing that now, why, are you having trouble?" and i said yes and she asked for my amcas number and the dates i had my stuff in, and i gave it to her and she said "your letters are here, I will update that for you now". Everything was nice and easy, she only had me on hold for a minute or two, and now i'm happy 🙂

Is that what it says when you click on the "Decision" button when the new window pops up? Just curious...good luck
 
Yes; it doesn't give any timeframe for the review. I just sent off an e-mail asking about that, but from what I've heard about Drexel's e-mail responses (and lack thereof), I'm not anticipating anything.

Damn, that sucks. I feel for you. Put your energy into your other apps though, don't let it get you down. I know what it's like not to get any in state lovin'. I work at UC Davis and they didn't even give me a secondary. 🙁 Who knows how this thing works...

I was complete only about 2 weeks ago.
 
I hope the stuff about them being so disorganized last year does not happeb again this year.

That said, their staff is much friendlier than most other schools I talked to.

Complete since 9/3, emailed to say I'd be in the area this month...NOTHING!

Been complete since sometime in August and nothing...
 
Aug 21: All materials sent

Sept 25: Called to check whether they received my Aug MCAT scores, to which they said yes. The guy on the phone said to resend recs coz they didn't show up on the status page

Oct 5: Because the status page still had my Jan 07 scores, I e-mailed again to confirm they received my new Aug Scores

Oct 9: Director of Admissions replied the email with a yes.
"Schedule an Interview" link showed up on the status page

Do you think calling might help?
 
I'm complete too and waiting.

I hate how they have their own random application ID number & password for you. I'll never remember all those numbers so I have to look it up each time.
 
Ok guys, so I called today and the lady was really nice. But she told me to check back again "in several weeks" ? Ive been complete almost a month and probably shouldn't be complaining.

The reason I thought there would be a faster response is that I have a legacy there but I guess that doesnt mean much... Anyways, I'm not gonna call back anytime soon but maybe I was send an update in a couple of weeks. or something....
 
My application status link is no longer clickable. It was the last time I checked. Does this mean I got rejected?
 
does any one know if drexel calls or sends letters for acceptance?
 
I was told Drexel will only resort to phone calls for wait list in july. They always send letters via snail mail in a big envelope. Email was used this year for the EDPers cause of the deadline.
If you get in your best bet is receiving the letter, just make sure to get your letter and deposit back in time.

Sorry about the news...with Drexel though you probably have a good chance of being pulled off of the hold list. Do you mind sharing your stats and when you were complete?

Yea, I've got the same thing too, looks like Drexel doesn't love us. My guess is we're their fall-back, go to applicants in the case that more people withdraw or do not go to Drexel. 👎 🙁
 
don't give up! I just got an interview on monday and have been complete since 8/15. I think there are just tons and tons of applicants this year. It's my first interview so far, and i was really feeling down about the whole process until now. So don't feel despair...it really can change in a moment for anyone!

for the ones who are saying they have been placed on hold, does the website say that you are on hold OR a message saying something like....." your application has been reviewed and a final decision will be made later in the season"
