It says " your application has been reviewed and a final decision will be made later in the season"

Which I'm guessing means its on hold
 
The name of this game is go with the flow...I've known that since June first...plus I'm not really stressing; i got accepted to temple and I'm more than satisfied with that.

my status page always said "no decision available" until i got the email saying i had an interview. then it had a link letting me schedule an interview. I hope that helps.
 
Hi everyone. My status page has the same message as the pre-interview hold. I called admissions and they said that I would hear a decision soon. Does that mean I have been rejected and wont be re-evaluated? I interviewed last year and did not get in. Does that mean I just wont be considered this time around. 🙁
 
For those who got the pre-interview hold, did they send you an e-mail when your status change? Also, when were you complete?

Complete on 8/16

No email...just the status change
 
I emailed the director of admissions about the pre-interview hold message and she said that our applications won't be looked at again until may. I would take this pretty much as a rejection.
 
I got the pre-interview hold and I was complete on 9/6.
Sucks! I was totally hoping to be in philly (and close to home!)
 
Mine still says "No decision available". So when the status changes where on the page does it show?

I was complete 8/9 and just today received the pre-interview hold (which feels like a rejection basically since someone said they won't re-review my application until May) today.

mine has gone "no decision available" to 'scheduled interview keep waiting' to 'being reviewed by committee member keep waiting' to 'being reviewed by committee keep waiting' where it seems to be stuck. I did receive an email to schedule the interview, but that's it.
 
Has anyone who interviewed Oct. 30 had their status changed to "A decision has been made"? Mine still says that it will be sent to committee soon, but I recall that they said we could expect our apps to go to the adcom in about 2 weeks...
I'm not sure if they are just taking longer than expected, but I worry that stronger applicants may go to committee earlier and weaker applicants go on hold longer. If anyone knows, please help take me off my tenterhooks!
 
I interviewed almost two weeks ago and my status page still says that I've been scheduled for an interview and a decision will be made in 6 to 8 weeks.
 
I interviewed on the Nov. 7th and my current decision says, "Your file is currently under review by the admissions committee. No decision has yet been made regarding your admission status to Drexel of University." I think it changed to this on the 15th or 16th.

How long does it usually take to go from this message to a decision?
 
I interviewed on the 22nd of October, my status changed to under review on the 12th of Nov., then status changed to a final decision has been made on the 16th. I called on the 20th and they told me that could not tell me a decision and that I should receive a letter in the next week or two. I received an acceptance packet on the 25th (1st acceptance I'm pumped). Stats - out of state, 31 and 3.56. Hope it helps good luck everybody.

No offense but I for one would like to see something in writing about this. Now, I am not saying your a liar or that Dir. of admissions is, I'm just wondering why in they would even bother to look at applicants in May. Why not just reject outright?

Has anyone been put on this status and been pulled off? Ever?

btw I applied at drexel and got the hold message if you can't tell :laugh:

I don't think we or they have any idea. Seems to be different for everyone. I've been there for a few weeks now after a 10/23 interview, but some people seem to find out right away.
 
Hi there-- has anyone tried to let Drexel know that they will be in the area for another interview and had any success? I'm wondering if it is worth writing the email and wanted to see what others thought. Thanks!

I tried the "in the area" thing since I will be interviewing at Temple in about a week (I emailed about 3 weeks ago, though). I didn't receive any response, but today I checked my status page and saw that I was put on hold. Maybe it at least forced them to look at my file??

Does anyone have any update info on the pre-interview hold outlook? I'm assuming its an extended rejection, but I did a search and couldn't find anything definitive either way.
 
If it makes anyone feel better, i was complete in august but never heard from them. I don't think i ever had a hold message, but just silence for five months. Checked the status page today and it had the link to schedule an interview.
 
ooo also, they had open interview dates until the very end of march, so they do interview until the last day of march, meaning there are still almost three full months of interviews left.

i notice the change on my status page on friday and i haven't gotten an e-mail i assume there isn't any important information we need. i still have to figure out if/when i'm going, but if i do it'd be nice to finally meet 🙂

agreed. i couldn't decide whether to go or not either, so i scheduled it for 2/29, so that other people who need it more can have earlier interviews and i have time to decide. I never got an email either, until i scheduled it, then i got a confirmation email. You should totally make yours for the same day! Then we could go to happy hour afterwards and make the day funnnn

Same for me. I haven't received any 'special' email since I scheduled my interview on 1/4. I just got the confirmation email afterwards. Mine is scheduled for 2/27.
 
submitted app. 11/6, completed 11/9, invited mid Dec., interview 01/22. I was sent an invitation email. I can't imagin why they would not send it out to some of you who are going to be interviewing.

anyone waiting 8+ weeks to hear back post interview decisions?

this has to be the slowest moving school ive applied to.
 
i interviewed in late october and was waitlisted 3 weeks later. maybe the long wait is a good sign! good luck :luck:
 
i interviewed on 11/12/07. that makes it over 8 weeks of waiting without a response. i called the admissions office today and they said to keep waiting. what i think happened is that i got reviewed a few times, and still kept getting put on hold. i can't understand why other people were waitlisted and rejected, but they can't seem to make a decision about me, even if it's a negative one. ugh, here's to waiting some more.
 
hmm, i know that a few people on sdn got waitlisted around the time i did, and some got acceptances (not sure about the rejections). that was mid-november. i haven't seen much else on here about anyone getting decisions since then, so maybe they are really behind or choosing very carefully. i keep reading about how they accepted too many people last year and that they don't want to make the same mistake again. seriously though, if they keep reviewing you and haven't defaulted you to a waitlist, i think that's a good thing.
 
just wondering how those pre interview holds turned out. any news? i'm in the same boat (don't know how long I've been in the boat bc I checked my status today for the 1st time in weeks. ha). should i even bother continuing to express interest or update them??

Yep, I'm wiht DocNroll...any hope left for pre-interview holds or just let it slip away?
 
did your online statuses say "hold" flat out? I have been complete at drexel since august, and my status still says no decision has been made. When I call, all they say is that my application is still with the committee (one time when i called, the lady actually made it sound like my app hasn't even been looked at once yet, this was in Feb). Any thoughts?
 
When you click on the status option, what pops up for me is 'Your file has been reviewed and will be looked at again later in the season' instead of 'No decision available'.
 
I just called them and they said that they will be offering interviews up until April, and that checking that status page is the way to go. It is the most up-to-date.

I'm in the same boat too, I've been complete since October 17th and it has always said no decision has been made...🙁
