Drexel system down!! (10/29)

For those of you waiting to hear from Drexel, I just called Drexel admission office and they said the system was down...they didn't indicate how long or the reason. They could not tell me the status of my app.

I hope this gets fixed soon...do they have an online status page check??

They never responded to my emails either. I had all my stuff in like 3 months ago, but never received a complete notice. So thinking they probably screwed something up, I called them a few weeks ago and just stayed on the line or whatever I had to do in order to speak with a person. She checked on something, and told me my file was complete. 3 days later, I got the complete postcard. A week later, I got an interview. So you really should call them because they probably did misplace something in your file.

It turns out they didn't have my Committee Letter (why they couldn't have responded to my 2 e-mails to tell me that, I don't know), so I had to have it sent again. I am bummed that they will only be getting to the review of my application now despite me sending everything in in August, but I guess these things happen. I am glad I finally sucked it up and called them or I never would've know that they lost my LOR. So, if it's been forever and you haven't heard from them, it's definitely worth calling. The woman was very nice on the phone. But they are definitely swamped so give it time if it's only been a couple weeks. Good luck, everyone!!

I never got a "complete" notice from Drexel. I was actually planning on calling them on Monday to see what the deal was but I just got an interview invite in the mail today. They seem pretty disorganized after reading this thread.

The same exact thing happened to me. I submitted in August and tried to email them a number of times - still have not recieved a response to any of them. I finally called and they said they we waiting for my LOR. i still have not recieved their complete card in the mail. I ended up interviewing there recently and I found their interview day to be as unorganized as their app process. I have been so frusterated by Drexel during this process that, if accepted, I probably will not go there. It is really too bad because their MD programs seem very innovative.

yeah... my experience is the complete postcard arrives pretty soon after you send everything in. i think i got mine within 2 wks, and i live in CA. their admissions people are pretty nice, so don't be afraid to call. 🙂
