Drexel Telephone Interview

I know this was posted somewhere in the past but I can't seem to find the forum.

I will be having a telephone interview with Drexel for their IMS program and wanted to know if anyone out there could share their experiences. What should I expect? Did they throw anything tough at you? How long was the interview? Any advice would be more than appreciated. I interview on Friday... so if you know, please post as soon as you can!

The interview wasn't tough at all, they give you a 45 minute interview and start off with some simple questions. Towards the end she asked me some important questions, why do you want to be doctor?, what do you think is a big problem facing medical care today? why do you think you didn't get into medical school the last time you applied? It was very relaxed and informal so don't sweat it one bit!

My interview lasted for about 45 minutes. Questions that were asked included: what are your strengths and weaknesses? why do you want to be a doctor? what do you want to get out of this program? What changes do you see in healthcare in the future? What makes you unique from all the other applicants? Can you tell me about this experience? What did you learn from this experience?

All in all, pretty straightforward questions. It seems like the interviewer has a list of questions she has to ask. Don't stress about it.

I was so anxious waiting for my interviewer to call me, but when she did she was cool and reassured me not be nervous... she was right, it really wasn't hard. It lasted around 50 minutes, including me asking q's, and I was asked all the same q's as posted above. She also asked me why I thought I didn't get in the first time I applied, what I would like to see changed in the health care system, and what experiences I have had that prepare me to be a doctor.

The interview went well! It was very easy and they didn't ask me any questions regarding my research! They just wanted to get to know me better. Thanks for the advice, y'all prepared me well..
