I declined the offer because of its high tuition and opportunity to complete my education elsewhere for a lot less $. Congrats to all that will take on this journey and good luck!

Hey all, I just got accepted into the Drexel IMS Program this year, and I was wondering what everyone was doing for housing arrangements. I am looking for a roommate to live off campus in a two bedroom apt (near Drexel Medical School) since prices are much more affordable over there. Let me know if anyone is interested, or has any other ideas about housing. Thanks!

Congrats on your acceptance. I got a second email today asking for the tuition deposit $500 by Friday. Within the email, there was also a link saying that summer housing is provided at Millennium Hall on 223 N 34th St.
I also spoke with Dr. Walker today and she said that we would have a financial aid session during orientation. We may also receive additional emails over the next few days about housing, etc... Let's all hope that it will work out.

I'm probably gonna leave a lot of things and just take things i can fit into a couple of suitcases...This short notice is what sucks about DPMS...Having to quit a job in under two weeks sucks big time 🙁 but I'm just glad to be part of the program...see you all in two weeks.

I did DPMS 2011 and now im in the medical school! if anyone has any questions let me know! Regarding the summer we all had fun and it was hyped up. it was fun getting to meet people and it was not intense at all

So the summer 1 credit class is intense. Forget about your summer basically-- cold hard truth. 🙁
But...think what you WILL gain from it-- 1) you are in the dpms program & NOW is the chance to prove yourself 2) It will give you a really great edge and preparation for the beginning of the true academic year 3) a slew of other positives like knowing some really cool classmates & bond formation as strong as purines go with pyrimidines (corny joke...sorry)

So, the gist of the summer program. You will do (all medical courses mind you) biochemistry, physio, & pharm. Those are the 3 main ones. On top of that you will get study/learning tips. Schedule is daily morning (8am-3/4pm) It's rigorous, but well worth it.

Haha I am not in the program but why'd you think it would be any different? I actually expected more black males but its a good mix.
