drexel?

Amy, all I have to say about it - and I mean this is all I have to say - is caveat emptor.

drexel is a great place.. take all negative remarks with a grain of salt.

can you fill us in with details?

School is NOT on probabtion. Preclinical teaching is great. Party is always happening. For rotations, there are plenty of hospitals to pick from. Bunch of ppl match into great specialties every year. Not everybody likes Philly, but you can choose to live anywhere in the city, so it makes it easier. Hope that helps.

I know I said I wouldn't comment further, and qwert's comments taken in context...

Drexel has had, like many other programs, a huge problem with faculty turn-over recently. They've lost their program director within the past 2 years, and they may not be on probation now, but they are recently coming off of probation. During their June visit this year they were granted a three-year review cycle. Take from that what you will. This is not even getting into the issues with Tenet Health. (You can do a Google search for more info.)

I'm not trying to "diss" this program, and I'm sure the training you'd get there is fine. Just know that this is not a program without a few issues. I felt that this had to be said (why I'm recanting on my previous statements) to provide fair balance to qwert's statements. I'm sure the program is on the up-and-up, and what qwert says is true. But, it is every interviewee's responsibility to know what they're getting themselves into. Do your homework. That being said, every program has some issues. Just that some have more than others.

No offense meant to anyone, not the least of which is the Drexel program. I just hope they are honest with interviewees when they go there. (They weren't with me when I interviewed there three years ago.)
