For non-sedated patients, what procedures, if any, require a driver in your practices?

If they dont get a driver, they dont get local anesthetic in the injectate.

Standard of care where i practiced was they all got drivers. Seemed odd to me that dentists get away with it. Afraid of a late vasovagal. In my entire career i saw one late vasovagal. It was impressive however.

I prefer only drivers for sedation and cervical, but my company wants it for everybody

Sedation and cervical stuff, otherwise they can drive themselves.

Those that don’t require drivers what r u going to say if the patient gets in an accident on the way home and the patient/lawyer blames you bc “their leg was too heavy” even if from the skin local?

We evaluate everyone before they leave and there was no weakness after the procedure.
