Drop class after submitting transcript to AMCAS..

1st post(kinda, I think I posted this in the wrong forum first)!!
That said, I am new to navigating this site. I searched the forums and can't find anything specific to my question.
My question is this: I've submitted my official transcript to AMCAS (verifiction pending). I now need to drop a course in my current semester (never done this before, and the class is not a medical school pre-req). If I drop this class, am I in any way obligated to update anyone (amcas, med schools, etc) about my single, shameful, W?

Thanks to anyone who can help! Surely I'm not the first to be in this situation.

You don't need to tell anyone. Courses you list as current/future are not binding, and you would really only need to update if it is a pre-req.
