Okay, here's the scoop. I have a solid A in genetics. However, my DAT is a month away. I have not been studying for it as hard as I should be and I feel that I took to many classes this summer. I live pretty far away from my school and I am one of those people who attend every class. I have not had a W on my transcript in over 2 years and I really don't want to put one on now. The big problem is that I have to start hitting my DAT studying harder, I just dont have the time. I was thinking about droping genetics, but I feel bad because I am doing really well in it. Have any of you ever done something like this?

I would finish out the class and push the DAT back a little. You have an A and it's an upperlevel Bio to add to your list.

I agree, and even though another W wouldn't actually hurt you, staying in the class would probably be more worthwhile. If you're only taking one class during the summer, you should probably be able to still do some decent studying for the DAT, 3-4 hours a day should be more than enough until the final week or two.

I took my DAT in May this year and had Genetics. The class was VERY helpful on all the more complicated Genetics questions on the DAT. IMO the class experience is valuable. Good luck on your test tho! 🙂
