Droping a master program to start pre dental?

Hi. I'm very frustrated with my current 2-year master program in public health. All my classmates feel the same with the curriculum and professors. The most important part is that I realized here that I do want to pursue dentistry (my dream from childhood) but I also need to take pre requirements because I have a bachelors in a non-science degree. I have finished the first year and I'm debating about finishing the master program or start pre dental. What you would do in my position? Will it look bad in future dental admissions? I'm dropping my gpa in this master program due to lack of interest. I still get good grades but not enough. I don't like anything about this masters and I am very miserable. I entered this program because I have TA and free tuition but I'm not happy with it. 🙁

How are you doing in the masters program and how far along are you? How did you do in undergrad? What would you cumulative GPA including the masters program?

These are things to consider if you decide to drop the masters program. I feel like if you drop the program, it might show to dental admissions committee members that your lack of interest plays a heavy role in grade performance. So even though you say you're interested in dentistry now, it might change in the future and thus, effect your grades in dental school which doesn't flow so well with adcoms.

If you do drop, you'll still have to send those transcripts in when/if you apply and you'll need to explain everything.

Considering all your classmates say the same, then maybe the program itself is the problem, rather than your interest/your field of study.
