I am applying this cycle and I currently have a 3.72, and a C on my transcript from BIOL 112. I have since made A's in biochemistry, genetics, and currently now in anatomy. I am currently at a C in my Marketing class, and am considering a Q drop. It's a "Q" if dropped before the deadline, "W" if dropped after. My question is, how will this affect my application? I'm looking at making A's in all of my other classes right now, so I'd finish this semester at a 3.75 bearing that I drop Marketing. Would having a C and a Q drop on my transcript decrease my chances significantly? I'm taking this class as part of my business minor, one of two minors I am undertaking (other being Neuroscience).

Copying my response to another thread: "I dropped a course and only 1 school asked me about it on my secondary and I explained that while I felt I could have gotten a good grade in the course, but I didn't feel that I had full mastered the material, which I knew would be important later. I got into that school and others, including my top choice (a top 20 school), who didn't ask about it. So you can go either way and personally I was more worried about the hit to my GPA." I actually had dropped 2 courses, 1 freshman year and 1 right before applying. I had a slightly higher GPA, but I really don't think 1 or 2 withdrawals is significant unless it is part of a larger pattern/problem.
