Dropping a course ?

I am in a dilemma,

i was wondering if i should drop my orgo 2 class or finish and get a C

I cant afford any more C's b/c i already have 3 C's in other classes, was wondering if dropping is a good option .


Does dropping a course affect your gpa for dental school ?

If you can drop before the withdrawal date then they will never know and at my University a drop never does anything. But if you do take a W it won't directly affect your gpa but will show up. I have one W and not a word has been said about it so far. So if you cannot afford another C like you said find out all the details from your school then decide whats best for you.

But i had to drop my psych class in the summer b/c of health issues and i withdrew before the drop deadline and i have a W on the transcript.


How can u avoid the W ?

Get incomplete if your school offers it and take it over next semester.

hey i was in the same sitatution as you only it was the second part of general chemistry. My advice if you can drop it like it's hot!! Because ultimately what's going to sort you out from other ppl is your gpa so everything counts!!

yeah my gpa sucks right now, i only have 3.34 and i apply in June

if i get a C in orgo 2 and A's in all the others, my gpa wont even move up or down it will stay the same
