Dropping Honors after Applying?

I'm not at all familiar with what an honors program in your undergrad means, perhaps because I went to a small college and we didn't have anything like that. In my personal opinion, I would finish the honors program for the sake of finishing what you started. I can't really comment on how the schools may take knowing that you dropped out of something that you already put on your application. Some may care, some won't care. For whatever reason you put the project off is irrelevant right this moment so i think it comes down to whether or not you can accept the potential (although likely not much if any) of hurting your app after all this time and investment already. The honors thing sounds decent and your only 3 days away from accomplishing something worth putting on an app for school and perhaps a residency app. Now is not the time to be lazy. I would suck it up and get it done personally , you'd be surprised how much you can get done in 3 days. Accept the challenge

If time is an issue, you could probably ask your adviser for an extension on the deadline. People are usually at least a little understanding. I agree that you might as well finished it. On most of my interviews, I've been asked why I transferred schools, so I'm assuming that you'll be asked why you didn't finish the honors program.
OP, you reminded me that I need to work on those reqs also! LOL what a pain...
Back in high school, the program seemed like such a huge deal, and now I'm like, ugh I wish I never was in it to begin with so I wouldn't have to worry about the additional requirements.. So I feel ya!!🙁
I don't know how DS's will react to you not completing what you said you would complete on your app, but you worked so hard throughout high school to earn the spot in the program that you might as well go for it, and complete that very last (though the most dreadful) requirement. But you can do it!
Also, I don't know how things work at your school, but usually as long as you present something that shows a reasonable effort, you're bound to get at least cum laude! Ask for deadline extension, but even if you won't get one, you still have two days! You have nothing to lose, so go for it!
