So it seems I may have to drop one of my majors (Psych, I'm keeping Neuro) due to some scheduling issues. I am a senior this year and a current applicant. My question is will this potentially affect the decisions of medical schools, as I marked Psych on my primary? I can try to figure out a way to keep Psych if it would have any adverse effect. I know that in general your major or the presence of a double major doesn't matter to adcoms, but I don't know if my situation is different because of the timing. Also, would I need to tell schools I plan to drop a major (and change my reported schedule)? How would I do that?

no

Wouldn’t have any effect. Do you even report majors on amcas? I forget. But it’s definitely not a prominent piece of the application.

No schools face you an interview because you were a double psych neuro major vs just neuro

Pay attention: No one will care.
