Hi everyone 🙂
I was wondering if anyone knows a software that you can download on smartphones and calculate drugs according to wt. age etc? What do you guys use to quickly calculate the dosage in ER?

Thanks
Meow

A) From memory
B) Epocrates/Pepid
C) If I'm with the kiddies... some of the Pedi X apps. (Pedi Stat, PediDoser, Pedi Safe) All those are iPhone apps for me.

Not a doc, but FWIW I keep four programs on my phone just for quick reference:

Informed EMS ACLS Version
Informed Critical Care
Epocrates (best program ever made)
Skyscape (full of medical/lab calculators)

Sorry I am only a second year student and asking because we have to do simulation lab which is like an emergency situation and we have to calculate it quick and precise according to the pt. and I cannot do it in my head like that so I was wondering if there is any software that does it for me! Sorry if I was stupid....I am still learning lol.......
So would these help me in dosing?
Thanks Guys!

There's probably a calculator that will do it for you. It would be more to your benefit to learn the dosages though, especially for an emergent situation. You won't have time to whip out your phone during a crashing pt to find the dosage for etomidate and roc before you drop the tube.

Albeit, lowly medic here. Take heed to those much smarter than I with MD and DO after their name.
