Notice his use of quotes-- "overdose". That implies he is using the term only to refer to your statements. I doubt he would consider his day-to-day practice of drug titration "overdosing".

We overdose patients all the time. We give them a lethal injection and resuscitate them: it's called induction. If you find the perfect mix to have the patient asleep but breathing and deep enough to tolerate an ett shoved down their throat i wanna here about it.
