Hello,

Recently I have a dry sensation in my mouth, and cracked lips. What medicine can I use off the counter to treat that?

- Thanks

Avoid Blistex products. They have analgesics in them that irritated my chap lips to no end.....as for the dry mouth..not sure. Do you have dry crack commisures, the corners of your mouth???....If that is the case and they feel like they may be burning, you might have angular chelitis and need some anti-fungal and anti-bacterial medicine, usually 1% iodoquinol with 1% hydrocortosone. You will need a Rx for that one though...good luck, I know how you feel man....

Heh, thank God I don't have those Cracks in corners of my mouth... I came through too many of those, feels like ... pain everytime I move mouth for smiling, eating...

Blistex? What are those?

Burts bees lip balm is really good stuff. Nothing else works for me like this stuff does.

Burts Bees Wax lip balm is good stuff, can probably find it at your local grocery store. Dryness can be associated with certain kinds of medications (especially dermatological ones), plus the weather is getting colder. If your a smoker, that could be a cause of the dry mouth.

I use Vaseline at night before going to bed for dry lips. Works great.
