Hi guys I'm a dual degree DO student and am planning on taking the USMLE and COMLEX. I'm planning on taking the exam in mid december or early-mid Jan (about 5 Months prep time).

So I'm almost a year out of 2nd year and so a few things are hazy but I hope that I'll be able to recall most information that I had learned.

I'm an average student but I tend to be a good test taker and as for this exam I really dont know where to start. Options:

Taus (how long will this take?)
DIT 2009 bootleg and hit uworld combank and FA along with rr and
or some combo of the previous two.

I hate reading texts and prefer doing questions but I don't know if my fund of knowledge is strong enough to warrant a question focused study plan.

pretty lost, confused and don't know where to begin. Do I have enough time? Should I bother with FA2011 or keep 2010 HELP! :scared:

Just breathe. Try to get a bootleg of DIT 2010 with your 2010 FA. Start doing 50 questions a day on timed mode and go over the responses each day on Uworld. Should take you about 3 weeks to finish DIT and by that time you should have your FA annotated (with goljan) and ready to go. it should take you less and less time to go through FA after the first time and you should be able to ramp up the questions that you can do as time goes on.

The questions might be frustrating in the beginning but stick with them. You'll learn as you go and your comfort level will go up. Don't make the mistake of holding off on questions until you get through all the material since there's always things to study.

And you have plenty of time provided that this is the only thing you're focused on.

So you're a third year now? And you haven't taken any board exams? Where do you go? I figured that they would make you take them before you go back to the lab...

probably not the best idea to recommend getting bootleg copies of copyrighted material on SDN...i think that could be grounds for getting banned...just a tip
