So if you haven't heard by mail, don't necessarily lose hope yet.
Email; it doesn't say anything about paying for expenses, but I didn't click on the links. Doesn't look like they pay.

I'm assuming that you're referring to whether they pay or not. I did a google search for something like -Duke "second look weekend"- (quotes matter) and found a letter from Dr. Armstrong, although it's from 1998.

it says that when Duke students call accepted students, they should remind them that expenses are paid for. Also, they indicate that they put students up in a very nice hotel.

Hi all,
I'm a duke third-year med student, and I just wanted to say congrats to all of you who got in already. Also, for those on the wait list: some of the smartest folks in my class didn't get in until the summer, so keep the faith.
Now, about second look weekend: you'll get an invitation (I don't think it occurs until late april), and duke covers all expenses. You'll end up being hosted by a med student (I'm one of the hosts, for that matter), and you basically get to tour and party on the med school's dime for a weekend. Definitely try to make it.
Also, for those who get in, make sure you go to the first-year campout in the summer. It's run by the rising second-years, so you meet a lot of upper classmen along with your new first year class, and it's an absolute blast.

Haha has anyone else still not heard yet? I'm still waiting... I called on Tuesday and they said I'd hear "by the end of next week". I wonder what they're doing.... Probably just re-sent the letter, but a small part of me wonders if they really did forget to review my app....

I interviewed 10/27 (I'm not sure if that's what you mean by 12/15 or not). And since they didn't tell me I'm still under review, I'm not really sure.... but thanks for the heads up! Good luck to you (and anyone else still waiting!).
Edit: Umm ok, I'm an idiot. I thought 12-15 was a date, but now I see that you meant a group of 12 to 15 people. Ummm maybe I'm not smart enough for Duke 😛
