Duke Interview Day Format

hey,

for those of us interviewing at Duke on Dec 1st...can anyone out there who interviewed on Nov. 17th tell us what the day is like? in particular, do you remember which faculty members we meet with? this would be a big help in preparing for the interview.

get there at 11, and wait for 3 20 minute interviews over the course of 6 hours. take tour sometime in between

interview with 3/6 faculty, some didn't get PD or chair. One interveiwer is chief res Muir. Drs. Vann, Mruthranjaya (sp?) and Toth are the others. Toth talks about research. I heard chair grills you. PD pretty chill as were Drs V & M

There are 26 of you....seemed like a lot of people from the south compared to other top programs. Duke is beatiful.

Ask in advance for non -smoking at millenium

day ends with grand rounds which went on forever...lot of debating/sparring between chair and couple of faculty.

Facilities were amazing.

I wish we interviewed with each person like most other places.
