Hmm, I highly doubt any measure of central tendency could be that high, seeing as that's between 98th and 99th percentile on the old scoring system. I call bs.
 
Lol no, wedgedog is correct. And the 35 is the median for all accepted students (meaning the actual average of the matriculating class is marginally lower depending on yield).

Anyways a 41 is/was 99.9th percentile, no school is that high. The highest are Penn and Wash U in St. L, which have medians of 38 / 99.0th percentile. If you want to see medians the best resource is the MSAR (has data from the class that entered Fall 2014) and next best is US News (has data from the class that entered Fall 2013).
 
Case Western has a 43 average. Glad I didn't apply there.
 
Do they take the highest score in each section (for multiple attempts)?
