I e-mailed this school for a status check (first time in a month) on my application and I got back:

Your file is complete and has been sent to committee for review!

Does that mean, "screw you little b*stard for sending me another one of these e-mails!" or "Yay for you, your application is finally complete!"? Not sure how to take it.

I would take it as a peppy exclamation point, not an angry one, but hey what do I know

The person who wrote the email is proabably a perky little secretary that tries to be positive for the stressed out applicants. I doubt someone would use an exclamation point maliciously in this context.
