I'm a sophomore at MCG and I was wondering when is the earliest you can take NDBE part 1. I'm just looking to pass (aka not a gunner) and I want to have a relaxed summer. I've heard you can take it starting sometime in February so I was aiming for taking it during spring break and sacrifice one week for a 3 week break in the summer. Worse comes to worse if I don't pass I can just take it again at the end of summer. Does anybody know anything about this? Thanks in advance.

Yeah I heard you have to get the Dean's approval. Have you heard of anybody doing this in the past?

You need to satisfy your school's minimum didactic requirements (and achieve the required grades) in order for your school to certify you for taking the test. This means completion of courses like anatomy, biochem, micro, dental anatomy, etc that are covered on the exam, but varies from school to school.
You should ask your school for more details.
