As a B.S./D.O. student, and a frequent browser of the forums, I think it will be very helpful for qualified SDN pre-meds to apply to early acceptance programs. Compared to regular medical school admissions interviews during the traditional senior year cycle, these interviews are highly relaxed and usually in groups. Questions go around the circle; when it gets to you, long as you maintain good composure and offer a respectable answer, 9/10 you'll be accepted to the EAP. (they say business casual wear, but always wear formal!) Admission into these programs are far less competitive in contrast to the regular round, and the GPA/MCAT requirement to stay in the program is surprisingly doable.

High-schoolers, do some research. a whole mountain of B.S./M.D. and B.S./D.O. options for you.
Pre-med juniors/seniors, try out Early Decision to get an advantage over rolling applicants
Acceptance rates for edp applicants are very high, and coveted by people aware of them.
