Hey

I was just wondering what schools have the early accpetance programs and is it possible to tranfer to these schools and still particiapte in the early accpetance program?

I also hear that you dont need to take MCAT if you get into these programs, isnt that a good thing? I am just a freshman entering college, so i dont know much right now.....

Good Luck Everyone

Buy the MSAR. Its a book published by the AAMC that has all the med schools in the country describe their programs, even the early acceptance ones. This is a must-have for any premed.

You should DEFINITELY try for the early acceptance programs. I am kicking myself for not having done that. Could have saved myself a load of time AND money.

However, keep in mind that some programs do require the MCAT (although the score they require is pretty nominal - 27 or so for the programs I saw).
Then again, there are those that do NOT require the MCAT (like SUNY Buffalo for example).

Just buy the MSAR and it gives you all the details.

Good Luck

Northwestern's HPME (7 years, no MCAT required)
USC's Bacc-M.D. (8 years, MCAT required)
Brown
Rice (?)

There's quite a few, with their advantages and disadvantages. PM me if you want to know more ... I don't want to get flamed for posting what I really think.
