do you think having an early columbia interview invite is favorable or are all pre-dec interviews on a level playing field. like do you think they strongly like the candidates they interview/invite early?

I would imagine so. Why would they interview someone early if they weren't interested? Then again, they could be saving the best for last?

Of course man. I got mine this week. The most qualified applicants are interviewed first. The earlier your invite the more qualified you are in their pool of applicants.

Guess your batch number plays a big role here, my app was mailed to them on 8/24 and I haven't heard anything. Oh well, I'll just keep my fingers crossed.

It doesn't seem to matter for Columbia. During their first wave of interviews they were inviting people who had applied only days earlier.
