Early interview= higher acceptance rate?

Hey all,
I had an early interview this August at UDM. This was the very first interview at the school so could this mean that I have very high chance..?

My understanding is that it varies between schools. I interviewed at one school that said my early interview gave me an edge, and another said that they have designed their process such that your interview date is irrelevant.
