Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on getting an early interview vs not getting one til later and how much it helps your chances of getting in? Basically, do you think the earlier you interview the higher your chances?

I think it is definitely the case that an earlier interview date is better. The classes fill up pretty fast and the applicant pool gets more competitive in the later dates because there are fewer seats available and still a lot of highly qualified applicants.

For UOP interviews around feb or later are usually interviews for waitlists.

I actually posted the same question today morning.
It seems like everyone agress with the advantage of early interview.

When talking about "early interviews" being better, does this still apply to interviews before Dec. 1st.. i.e. does having an interview in September vs. having an interview in October vs. having one in November make much of a difference?

I would think it wouldn't matter, as the first acceptances wouldn't have gone out yet, but I dont know.

Any thoughts?

Early interviews are both good and bad. It's good in the sense that your application interests them enough to invite you for an interview, but it is not a guarantee of anything. Other qualified applicants may apply later down the line and get later interviews, so in a sense, your competing all the way to the December 1st deadline and past it.
