Do you guys think choosing early interveiwing date at USC or NYU gives you an edge for pre Dec-1st acceptance? For instance someone who interviewed early on September has an edge compare to a person who interviewed on November? Both USC and NYU accept large number of applicants and I was wondering whether early interview gives adcoms an impression that an applicant is very interested in the school and don't use them as back-up plan...I appreciate your feedback!

I heard that all pre-dec interviews are weighed the same. Post-dec dates...the sooner the better because some schools go by rolling admissions then. I don't think that picking interview dates sooner shows how interested you are in a particular school though since it depends on the date that the schools give you and then applicants have to make arrangements to take off from school/work, get flights, find lodging, etc.
