Hello everyone:
I am a dental student myself and I have a question for a friend of mine. Can you guys tell me which med schools are a little bet easier to get into compare to those med school that are more difficult.
any answer will be appriciated

I think you misunderstood the question. I believe the original poster was asking for suggestion on schools that are easier to get INTO. He is probably asking for a friend who has low stats.

Doctor2be - I would advise your friend to apply to all his/her state schools, and then go to usnews and apply to schools near the btm end of the rankings or not on the rankings at all. My two cents.

Don't tell her not to go into medicine. She wanted to know which schools are easier to get into, not what schools are "easy". Tell her that state schools are usually easier to get into for state residents. Also, D.O. schools have slightly lower admission standards.

I bet we all asked that same exact question sometime part of our life. We all know that there are a lot of medical school that are easy to get into. Some people feel that its rewarding if they go to a easy school, be a mediocre doctor and have a easy life. Well, that the fairy tale that we would like to live in :wink: . To answere your question DOCTOR2BE is that there aren't any easy med school to get into. The fact of the matter is that medical school is not easy to get into. Welp, have a nice day, just kidding about the post 😀 😀 🙄 .

No schools are eay to get into, but some schools are "easier" than others. Some of these may be Finch, MCP Hahnemann (Drexel), New York Medical College, Albany, George Washington.....but also note that since these schools have slightly lower averages than other med schools, they get more applicants, so they are just as competitive. 😉Also, some people may disagree with the schools I mentioned b/c nothing is cut and dry in this process....

Sorry Doctor2be, I was just trying joking around. Gotta laugh sometimes to relieve the streesful situations pre-med encounter. Anyway, like the others suggested, it is easier to get into your instate schools. Then look for which schools matriculated GPA/MCAT resemble your friend. But then again, tell your friend to apply to a wide range of schools, she might get lucky. Hope this helps, sorry for the other reply 🙁 .
