I know state med schools are always the easiest to get into, but nationwide, what are some other programs that accept students with maybe not so strong academic records or lower GPAs, MCATs?

I've seen a lot of people say UCF, but I've also heard that program is actually more competitive now? Basically, we all know the top tier med schools, what are the bottom tier ones?

The MD schools with the lowest stats are not "bottom tier."
They are mission based schools (including state public schools in smaller pop. states).

Who cares? Apply where your stats match and where your personality matches their mission. Spend the $30 for MSAR.

State schools are not the easiest to get into anymore. This as an old truth.

I think the terms "low-tier" med school is an oxymoron. And not everyone is fortunate enough to have several state schools to apply to.

If you're on your 2nd cycle, add in DO schools too. It would be foolish not to

There are no easiest med schools

The lowest median stats seem to belong to the HBCs, the PR schools and the state schools in the south and midwest.

Following that would be the Drexel/Albany class schools.

Acceptance rates, BTW:
Albany: 2.3%
Drexel: 3.7%
Harvard: 4.3%

Just to add, Drexel receives a lot of apps, but, is mission based. They tend to accept students with more service than those that dont.

Easy is a subjective term. For those who tend to spend most of their time in a research lab it will not be easy by any means to get into school that highly favors service. For that type of people spending months (may be years) working with underserved population on a regular basis is not easy. I know this type of people, they would rather take few more upper level science classes than get their hands dirty.

To add to this, WUSTL has one of the highest acceptance rates for medical schools, but good luck applying there with low stats.
