Anyone from the East Coast (NJ/NY/CT/PA) with an idea as to which schools accept students with a low GPA? I'm a point below a 3.0 and I don't know who would accept me.

I'm thinking about NYIT and USP but I would like to know if anyone has been accepted there and what their stats are.

Thanks in advance.

I live on the East Coast and have a low GPA, but I boost it up to a little over 3.0 by taking/retaking pre-req courses. Still, I am wait listed for USP, and got an interview at Creighton and AIC. I would recommend applying to schools that look at applicants as a whole, counting observation/volunteer/work experience, GRE scores, grade trend, pre-req GPA, and good LORs. There is no standard "recipe" for an ideal OT candidate. Show the admission that you can become a successful OT. I also recommend reading past posts on this forum since they helped me get through this long, overwhelming process. Hope this helps, and wish you best of luck in your application process!
