Anyone know anything about this? They state that 80% or so of MS students get into Med School at some point. Has anyone out there done this or know any details? Thanks

The application deadline for the coming fall is already over. Are you considering this program for the year after that (fall 2004)? I've applied, but am waiting to hear back from them. I've heard some good things about it, but need to look more into it.

Hi! I applied to this program last year but decided not to attend. I had just come off of maternity leave and they said that there were a few people (including me) who needed to up their mcat scores and they were requiring that they take the kaplan stat classes and take the august mcat. I felt like this was false advertisement that they told me this after i got in. this would have meant that i would have had to work part time or not at all right after coming off of maternity leave. if i would have known i would have sturctured my leave differntly or not wasted time applying at all. not to mention i had to come up with the money for these expensive kaplan courses with in a matter of weeks. there was a disocunt but still i would have had to come up with $2k.
also, i have heard that they use this program just to fill budget holes. it is very expensive and MCv has a cheaper one that is apparently better although many of those stduents weren't granted inteviews this year.
anyway i decided to wing it with what i had and am now on the wait list. they say in the top third, but we'll see.
i didn't liek the fact that there was no gurantee from the program either.

oh and also, email the head of the program, dr. meyer if you want to apply. i did that the year before last and they were at least willing to talk to me. mcv's progranm allows you apply up to the summer.
