Hi will people post the secondaries that are relatively easy. I am working and going to school full time. I have the money to blow on a lot of schools but not the time filling out these ridiculous applications.

I heard Stanfords is really hard and Boston U is a piece of cake, just money and a picture. Any other experiences. In easy I mean, minimum essays

I'd add Wright State Univ.
MCO wants 1 essay, CWRU 1 essay, Penn State secondary two very short responses, U.Mich 1 essay, Harvard nothing in the way of an essay.

Here is a list of easy secondaries-
Einstein (unless you're out school, you have to write an essay)
Jefferson
NYMC
Penn
Penn State

MCW just has a form to run through--no essay at all. It took me about 15 minutes.
Does anyone know about the Loyola secondary?

UCSF is really easy too.

Hey Resident Alien,

When did you get the Harvard secondary? I designated them about a month ago and havent gotten any correspondence from them at all. I'm not verified yet though - I should be by Nov 1 if AMCAS can be believed.

Mayo, like Boston, all they want is money.

Loyola has six short-essay questions - I wouldn't exactly call it easy, depending on what you choose to write about.

Hey jargon,
I would have never been able to get to harvard's secondary had it not been for drako's site!! I never received an e-mail from harvard requesting me to fill it out, but anyway when i went there, they had all my info. (name, etc)
hope that helps.

Adding University of Rochester...

Here's my list of easies, based on amount of time/effort required (ie. number of essays):
Iowa
MCW
Finch
SLU
CWRU

to the OP,
are you seriously going to pick the place you live for the next 4+ years (and the place you're going to give $200,000) by the length of their secondary? Actually, on second thought, that sounds about as rational as my school choices. 😀

I am sorry but UMDNJ-RWJ has the poorest excuse for a secondary! It wasn't even a full sheet of paper. It was pink index card where you wrote you name & SS#... THAT's IT!-And don't forget the check!

Hey there

Yes, i am going to pick the school i will be at for the next four years based on their secondary. Med school is med school. I dont see a huge difference between them. My goal is to be a competent doctor and all schools are no more or less capable of doing that. Otherwise, they wouldnt be in business 🙂

Thanks so much everyone for all the posts. Wow, I didnt know there were so many easy secondaries out there. I will add some schools to AMCAS. Think it's too late??

No, it's not too late. Tulane, Tufts, MCP Hahnemann, and U. of Washington should be added to the list. George Washington's is also pretty straightforward, although there are a couple of tricky, but short questions. Same with Johns Hopkins -- several short, but thought requiring questions. So the list is now:

Boston U
Finch-CMS
UAB
USA
Albany
Vermont
Temple
Creighton
Jefferson
NYMC
Penn
Penn State
MCW
UCSF
Mayo
Rochester
SLU
CWRU
Iowa
UMDNJ-RWJ
Tulane
Tufts
MCP Hahnemann
U. of Washington
George Washington
Johns Hopkins

Easy is defined as no essays, somewhat easy as one under 250 word essay, IMHO. 🙂

Compiling everyone's posts:

Boston U
Finch-CMS
U at Buffalo
U S.Alabama
Albany
Vermont
Temple
Einstein
Creighton
Jefferson
NYMC
Penn
Penn State
Med College of Wisconsin
UCSF
Mayo
Rochester
SLU
Case Western Reserve University
Iowa
UMDNJ-RWJ
Tulane
Tufts
MCP Hahnemann
U. of Washington
George Washington
Johns Hopkins
Medical College of Ohio
Wright St. U

Case Western's isn't really easy...they give you an open-ended essay...
