just start makeing friendship. 😀
try not memorize the cocepts. learn it. analyze the formulas. most of G chemistry formulas( in the level we need) are based on simple concepts. for example imagine you want to make one liter one molar solution, what you want to do? how about you want to make one liter one molal soultion? (we are talking in water and assume density for water is 1gr/ml 🙂 now you can ask yourself why i should explain about water. if you know the concepts you will understand why I talked about water density).
another example: you know the gas laws for sure. instead you memorize three different formulas just remember P1V1/T1=P2V2/T2 and when they are asking one of the parameters is costant just put 1 in your formula for example in a problem they say T is constant. just put "1" in your formula for T1 and T2 and you will have P1V1=P2V2 and........... good luck for your new friendship with G Chem...

You just need to spend time and understand formulas then memorize.
Apply your learned concepts in all the problems then you will be fine.
Or you can just eat the book and hopefully digest well!! lol
