With the Ebola virus controversies circulating on the web and television, what are your views about the virus? Is there a break through cure or is it something that leads to a dead end ?

Well I can't speak for Ebola, but as a general rule it seems like information is pretty scarce on the disease.

I found this to be an interesting read: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3499825/

Essentially, the reviewer seems to feel nobody has done a great job of tracking the disease (or treatment approaches) in any of its outbreaks. Given that they happen sporadically in Africa, I guess that isn't a huge surprise.

I don't see the problem with bringing back the sick people. As far as I know, Spain did it too.
Since the virus is spread only through secretions (as far as I know), and personnel transferring the patient is highly trained and well protected (and the infected person isn't in touch with anyone else), there is almost no risk for the general public. I really don't see the problem (except for the mass hysteria, generally started by people who know very little about ebola in the first place).
