Hey can anyone plz help me with the ECE application..I am an FTD completing my internship which will be completed by next year...My queries are:

1.What documents are required for ECE?
2.How do we obtain the Uiversity Transcripts?
3.Do we have to select a course by course or general evaluation?
4.Can I give the NBDE Part1 in Early Jan during my Internship?.....

Thanks for ur help..Also wanted to know if the following steps are right for application..
1.I have my Marksheets of all four years so then I have to send them to ECE..do i need to obtain a Transcript from my dental college also???
2.so Documents to send are: 10th marksheet, 12th marksheet, BDS four years marksheet..??right
3.Once I get my ECE report then what should be my next step..plz help....

are your college transcipts any different then ur marktsheets? u hv to send ur marksheets and certificates of secondary and high school. (check requirement of ur country whether to send original or copies). send one copy of evaluation to ADA for your nbde1 registration.

go to ece website and fill the form along with your credit card details.

take a course by course evaluation.

send a printed copy of your 10th,10+2(intermediate) and your 4 years BDS marks list to the ece.no need to send anything else.

evaluation will take around 1 months time.🙂🙂🙂
 
I think we need to send a copy of the degree certificate too...
 
no need of copy of degree certificate..
you can send certificate that states you are university topper.that might help

no that does not help ...as in my case i send all certificates ,then also i got B in some subjects ...though i was a merit holder for all 4 yrs,as in Dental material i got B though in theory i was havin highest score in my class and in practical i fall in nice category ...ECE have there own set points to evaluate.

but if u wanna send a copy of ur certificates there is no harm.

I have my all original documents so can I send them to ECE directly or do I have to ask my dental school to send it to ECE? Because ECE website says that make arrangments for institution to send all documents of your educational history directly to ECE..
 
You only have to send the copies to ECE and you can send them directly.. order one copy of ECE to be sent to the JCNDE when you apply

Hi,
At first I just sent my translations and copy of my original documents. Later, ECE asked for my ORIGINAL documents and they didn't evaluate my documents unless they received the ORIGINAL ones.

I MYSELF directly sent ECE all the documents.

i have completed my bds in india 3 months back,my university says that it will take 5-6 months to get the original degree certificate.. i have my provisional degree certificate. can i send that for ece evaluation or should i wait for the original degree certificate.. plz suggest some ideas...

Hey thats fine....even i did not sent it last year....just send the provisional degree and the state registration certificate wit ur registration number....wit all the other documents

I"m surprised that they accepted the provisional. Usually they are particular about having the original degree certificate.

mine says "completion of four year of study in a dental course and one year rotatory internship confirming completion of a dental course"

do ul have the same line in the US equivalence section or does it mention BDS / bachelor of dental surgery or somthing like that? im asking this since i did not submit my original degree and was not even contacted by ece for the same..they directly sent me the report with the gpa.

Yup that is what is written........
 
for the evaluation, do the photocpies of the documents need to be attested ???do we need to get them sealed in an envelope and get that envelope signed by dean/principal only or we can send them directly???

you can send them directly..you don't have to give them attested copies.

Hi Ranapup,
you can get your GPA evaluated @ece.org
Opt for course by course evaluation report and you can choose an option that ECE will send a GPA copy of yours directly to JCNDE. One of your report will be sent to you and the other copy will be electronically sent to JCNDE. You can begin with your NBDE part 1 application soon after receiving an acceptance letter from JCNDE. Hope this helps.

Hey how do you get a provisional certificate...i have a final year passing certificate.... Is that ok??
What all documents did you submit?

Hey hi I'm caught in a similar situation where I cannot obtain my degree certificate sooner. What documents did you submit?? It'll be a big help of you replied!!
 
hi...!....will be applying for ece very soon. M from India...they say either originals or attested photocopies.No transcripts required.Would really like to hear a personal experience.Anyone from India got it done just this year? Do let me know.

If you got 120 and above you receive an A grade anything below 120 is B grade and no matter how hard you worked to clear your second attempt you get an F......
Seriously!!!!!!!! What's all the fuss about number of hours and credits from college attended.....

The number of hours and credit received shows how your education matches the US equivalent. They may determine, that your education is not comparable to a US DDS/DMD and it does not mater how good or bad your grades were
