in class I learned they were bilateral but cliffs 3rd edition says they're radial -- thoughts?

I believe they are bilateral when young (during embryo stage?) then radial as adults.

Echinoderms include sea stars, sea urchins, and sea cucumbers.
Echinoderms are RADICAL.
Echinoderms are Deutorosome, which its blastopore will eventually develop into an Anus instead of a mouth in Prostosome.
Echinoderms are classified into Chordata phylum.
All phylum Chordata has NOTOCHORD. There are some exceptions. Echinoderm is one of them. Echinoderm has no Notochord.
