Anyone can give me a good estimate of a typical 2D resting ECHO reimbursement

Does the reimbursement change if you are echo board certified vs. not?

my institution seems to charge higher for a common 2d ECHO than that site, like twice the amount.

They can charge whatever the hell they want. That's what CMS will pay them for it.

Well, if you own the machine and employ the tech, you're getting about $450 for each echo from CMS. Up to you to decide if that's "not much money".
